Choosing the right childcare provider is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At Little Friends Big Heroes Childcare, children are guided by an experienced, professionally trained educator who believes that quality early education begins with knowledge, dedication, and genuine care.

Ms. Kim is a bilingual early childhood educator with experience working with young children and families, and has been the owner and operator of Little Friends Big Heroes Childcare since 2021. Experienced Educator since 2013.

Her professional qualifications have been formally evaluated and approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), Office of Child Care, recognizing her eligibility to serve as both an Infant & Toddler Teacher and Preschool Teacher in Maryland childcare settings.

With 354 documented hours of professional training, a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, and a Maryland Child Care Staff Credential Level 3, Ms. Kim brings specialized knowledge in child development, early childhood curriculum, health and safety, inclusive education, and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.

Her educational background includes coursework through Montgomery College and the Maryland Child Care Resource Network, along with continuing professional development focused on supporting children's cognitive, physical, language, social, and emotional development.

My approach to early childhood

I believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and free to explore. My approach combines play, hands-on experiences, creativity, outdoor adventures, and everyday learning opportunities. As a bilingual educator, I naturally incorporate English and Spanish throughout our day, helping children build communication skills while developing an appreciation for different cultures.

For me, childcare is more than a profession. I love being part of the little moments that become big milestones — a first word, learning to share, recognizing a letter, making a new friend, or simply becoming more confident and independent. Creating Little Friends Big Heroes gave me the opportunity to build a place where children can learn, play, and feel at home while their families know they are genuinely cared for.
